Violence Breaks Out in Edo Shortly After Peter Obi Leaves Political Gathering
There was panic and chaos in Edo State after suspected hoodlums reportedly attacked supporters of Peter Obi shortly after he departed the venue of a political engagement.
According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred just minutes after Obi left the location where members of the Obidient Movement had gathered. Witnesses say armed individuals stormed the area and began firing gunshots into the air and toward parts of the venue, forcing attendees to flee for safety.
