Hundreds of passengers were left stranded after a train mishap occurred along the busy Abuja-Kaduna Railway, one of Nigeria’s most important transportation corridors. The incident reportedly involved two trains operating on the route connecting Abuja and Kaduna, causing confusion and panic among travelers on board. Witnesses said the situation created a sudden disruption that forced the train to halt along the route, leaving passengers waiting for assistance and updates.


According to initial reports, some passengers sustained minor injuries during the incident, though no official fatalities have been confirmed at the time of reporting. Emergency responders were quickly alerted, and authorities moved in to assess the situation and ensure passengers were safely evacuated where necessary. Many travelers were reportedly left stranded along the track for hours as officials worked to restore order and investigate the cause of the disruption.


Officials from the Nigeria Railway Corporation have reportedly acknowledged the incident and said investigations are underway to determine what exactly caused the mishap. Preliminary information suggests the problem may have been linked to a mechanical or coupling issue involving the train locomotive, though authorities are yet to release a full technical report.

Passengers have since been advised to remain calm while railway officials continue efforts to resolve the disruption.
