NDLEA Destroys 4.6 Tonnes of Suspected Cannabis in Edo Forests The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has destroyed approximately 4.63 tonnes of suspected cannabis recovered from two plantations in Edo State as part of an intensified operation against the cultivation and trafficking of illicit drugs. The operation was carried out in the Ugboku/Igbanke forest area of Orhionmwon Local Government Area , where officers discovered the suspected cannabis plantations. According to information released by the NDLEA, officers recovered and destroyed about 4,628.9 kilogrammes of suspected cannabis from the two farms. The plantations reportedly covered approximately 1.85 hectares of land , illustrating the scale of illicit cultivation taking place in the forest communities.
