Inquest Finds 27-Year-Old Nigerian Mother in UK Died by Suicide Following Mental Health Struggles

According to evidence presented during the inquest, Beatrice was found unresponsive at her home on Norris Road, Stanfield, Stoke-on-Trent, on March 4, 2026. Her husband, Damian Michael Butler, had reportedly left home for work before returning a short time later, where he discovered her unresponsive and immediately raised the alarm.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene but sadly confirmed that she had died. Police investigations found no evidence of third-party involvement.
During the inquest, the coroner heard evidence regarding Beatrice’s mental health in the months leading up to her death. Her husband told the hearing that she had struggled with her mental wellbeing over the previous year and had experienced emotional distress.
