Tragedy on the Way to APC Congress: Delegate Dies, Several Injured in Road Crash

What was meant to be a routine political gathering turned into a tragic journey for delegates from Sabuwa Local Government Area. Members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) traveling to the North-West Zonal Congress were involved in a devastating road accident, leaving one person dead and several others injured.

The delegates were en route to attend the APC North-West Zonal Congress when the accident occurred. Reports confirm that; one delegate lost his life, several others sustained injuries, and among those affected were high-profile party members, including political figures. The incident has sent shockwaves through the political community.


For one family, this political trip ended in tragedy. A delegate, identified in reports as Dalhat Machika, did not survive the crash, turning what should have been a day of political engagement into a moment of grief.


The injured victims were quickly rushed to medical facilities for treatment. Authorities and party officials have since; acknowledged the incident, expressed condolences, and called for prayers and support for the victims.

While this incident involves political delegates, it highlights a broader and more pressing issue: road safety in Nigeria. Accidents like this continue to raise concerns about, road conditions, vehicle safety, and emergency response systems. Because beyond politics, lives are being lost on Nigerian roads every day.
