Super Eagles Outclass Algeria in High-Stakes AFCON Showdown


The Super Eagles of Nigeria delivered a commanding performance as they defeated Algeria 2–0 in a fiercely contested Africa Cup of Nations encounter, sending a strong message to the rest of the continent about their title ambitions.


From kickoff to final whistle, Nigeria played with confidence, discipline, and purpose, neutralizing Algeria’s attacking threats while capitalizing on key moments in the game.



The first half was tense, with both sides probing cautiously. Algeria attempted to slow the pace and dominate possession, but Nigeria’s midfield structure denied them space and time on the ball. Every Algerian move forward was met with pressure, forcing rushed passes and limiting clear chances.
