The announcement was made through the U.S. Mission in Nigeria’s official channels, highlighting the embassy’s commitment to supporting career-focused learning and empowering Nigerians with practical language skills.

The courses, part of the Online Professional English Network (OPEN) programme, cover a range of professional applications, including:

- Tourism and Hospitality: Develop English skills tailored for careers in tourism, travel, and customer service.

The programme is structured to allow learners to study at their own pace, making it suitable for students, professionals, and anyone looking to improve their English proficiency for career advancement.

The 2026 session opened on January 5, 2026, and registration remains open until March 23, 2026. Classes will run through March 30, 2026. Participants can register directly through the embassy’s online portal.
