Birthday Turns to Jail Time: Man Sentenced for Abusing Naira in Enugu  What started as a birthday celebration has ended behind bars.  In a striking reminder that the Nigerian currency is more than just paper, a Federal High Court in Enugu State has sentenced a young man to prison for abusing naira notes during his birthday party.
